CHRISTIAN EDUCATION COMMITTEE

 

Purpose: To provide opportunity for the whole congregation to grow in their understanding  of being and becoming a Church.

Responsibilities:

* To support the Christian Education of the whole congregation.

* To recruit and support leaders for Christian Education work.

* To facilitate leadership training and orientation.

* To provide opportunity for learning through Youth Groups and Sunday school.

* To provide resources for enhancing Christian Education through book displays, lending libraries, magazines, videos, film and music.

* To bring together the different generations within our church to learn more about each other, our lives and our faith, through intergenerational church services.

* Two members, including the chairperson if possible will represent this committee at the Church Council Meetings.

* Recruiting Advent Candle Lighters, readers for the 4 Sundays of Advent and Christmas Eve Service.

Membership:  5 members plus the Sunday school Superintendent(s) and Youth Group  Leader.

Quorum: one half plus one of qualified members.

 

Church School classes are available for children/youth from nursery through High School ages.
